rendez vous at 8.15am
WHAT TO BRING & WEAR: Hat, walking shoes, water bottle, camera, your keen eyes for spotting wild edibles

Participants will witness local indigenous edibles of the CFR in the wild, in cultivation, and on their plates. The tour showcases Local WILD’s publishing, cultivation and market development initiatives, and their coming together in a collaboration with the Sustainability Institute and PEDI Agrihub. We will rendezvous at the SI and travel together on a bus. At the SI’s we will take in wild edible plantings in their food garden, ornamental beds and woodland thicket. At PEDI, we will see cultivation beds and the Fresh Produce Market pack shed where aggregation and dispatch takes place for delivery to Local WILD Food Store customers. The route between the SI and PEDI via Baden Powell Drive will reveal many of the edibles as they occur in the wild. The tour will culminate in a Harvest Table style lunch at the SI that gives participants the opportunity to get a taste of some of the foods they came across during the tour.
